Gunderatehausen (desert)

Gunderatehausen or locus or Gunderatehusen (8th / 9th century) was a settlement located in what is now the district of Sindlingen , western part of Frankfurt am Main . The settlement must have existed until at least the second half of the 12th century before it became deserted . The village was at an altitude of 109 meters above sea ​​level . In the 8th / 9th Century over wore a Gunderat the monastery of Fulda its Gunderatehausen mentioned Bifang (captura) in Sindlingen.

Located in the border area of ​​Sindlingen, Hattersheim , Kriftel and Frankfurt-Zeilsheim , the field name Kudert is reminiscent of the settlement. The place is referred to in the only known written source in Latin as iuxta villam Sutilingen (German: "neighboring the village of Sutilingen").
