Gundula perch

Gundula Barsch (* 1958 ) is a German sociologist , social work scientist and drug researcher .

Life and research

Perch was in the subject sociology doctorate and specialist social habilitation . From 1981 to 1989 she was a research assistant at the Academy of Sciences of the GDR , Institute for Sociology and Social Policy, research focus on lifestyles and from 1989 to 1991 research assistant at the addiction clinic of the Wilhelm Griesinger Hospital in East Berlin (focus on alcohol and alcohol abuse ). From 1992 to 1995 she was head of the research project Development of Drug Consumption Among Young People in East Berlin and from 1994 to 1998 she was head of the Drugs and People in Custody Department of the German AIDS Association . Since 1998 she has been a professor in the field of drugs and social work at the Merseburg University of Applied Sciences .

Barsch is a member of the Schildower Kreis , an expert network that argues against drug prohibition . She propagated the term drug maturity .
