Gunnar Weiß (born April 15, 1956 in Schwäbisch Gmünd ) is a former German football player .

Club soccer

White began playing soccer at 1. FC Normannia Gmünd and played for 1. FC Eislingen until 1979 . He then played for the amateurs of VfB Stuttgart and moved up to the professional squad for the 1981/82 season. He made his professional debut on October 31, 1981, when he came on for Harald Beck in the 85th minute in the 2-2 draw against Borussia Mönchengladbach . Gunnar Weiß played a total of six Bundesliga matches and three DFB Cup matches wearing the VfB Stuttgart jersey. In the summer of 1983 he moved to SSV Ulm 1846 , for which he was used 64 times in the 2nd Bundesliga in the following two years . After relegation from Ulm in 1985, the league champions 1985/86 returned immediately to the second division.
