The Gupwell Pond is a freshwater tümpel in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is 500 m south of the center of Hoffman Ledge in the Wright Valley labyrinth .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2004 after J. H. Gupwell, who was in charge of a New Zealand drilling project in the Antarctic dry valleys from 1973 to 1976 .
