The Hoffman Ledge is a flattened mountain ridge in East Antarctic Victoria Land . With a length of 3 km and a width of 0.8 km it rises west of the Dais Col from the plateau labyrinth in the Wright Valley . The relatively flat ridge reaches an altitude of 1000 m to the west and north of the Healy Trough . Cliffs and slopes at the edge of the ridge rise 50 to 100 m from the Healy Trough.
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2004 after Jack Edward Hoffman (1923-1996), who was in charge of New Zealand's drilling project in the Antarctic Dry Valleys from 1973 to 1976 .
