NGC 6214 is a 13.5 likes bright spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Draco the northern sky . It is estimated to be 349 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 100,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy IC 1228 .
The object was discovered by Lewis A. Swift on August 2, 1884 .
