NGC 6211 is a 12.6 may bright Lenticular galaxy with active galaxies core from the Hubble type SB (r) 0 in the constellation Dragon at the northern sky . It is an estimated 238 million light years from the Milky Way , about 110,000 ly in diameter, and is cataloged as the Seyfert 2 galaxy .
The Ia supernova SN 2013cw was observed here. In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 6206 and NGC 6213 .
The object was discovered by Lewis A. Swift on June 25, 1887 .
