NGC 6187 is a 14.6 mag bright galaxy of the Hubble-type S? in the constellation Dragon in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 248 million light-years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 30,000 ly. a. the galaxies NGC 6190 and NGC 6198 .
The object was discovered by Charles Young on October 5, 1883 .
