The Gurans Himal is a glaciated mountain range of the Himalayas in the far west of Nepal . The peripheral areas of the mountain range are in Tibet (PR China) and Uttarakhand ( India ).
The Guran's Himal is located in the Sudurpashchim Province . In the west, the mountain range is bounded by the Mahakali . The river valley of the Humla Karnali forms the northern and eastern borders. The 5334 m high Lipulekh Pass , located in the extreme northwest, represents the transition to the Kumaon Himalayas further west .
The mountain group is divided by the Seti , a right tributary of the Karnali , which rises in the Guran Himal, into a western ( Yoka Pahar Subsection ) and an eastern part ( Saipal Himal Subsection ). The highest point in the eastern part is the Saipal ( 7031 m ). In the western part is the highest mountain of the Guran Himal, the 7,132 m high Api . Many mountains and peaks of the Gurans Himal are between 6000 m and 7000 m altitude. Well-known mountains are Jethi Bahurani 6850 m , Bobaye 6808 m and Nampa 6755 m . The Api-Nampa reserve extends over the south-western area of the mountain range.
