Gurma (people)
The Gurma (also Gulimancéba , Gourmantché or Gourma) are an ethnic group in southeast Burkina Faso - the former Kingdom of Gourma ( Gulmu ) or the present-day provinces of Gnagna , Gourma , Komondjari , Kompienga and Tapoa - as well as in northern Benin , Ghana and Togo and in western Niger .
Many gourmands still adhere to traditional religions, but there are also Christians and Muslims.
Their language Gurma - also called Gourmantché - is related to the Mooré of the Mossi .
