The Gurnal Dubs is a lake in the Lake District , Cumbria , England . The lake is east of Staveley and west of Potter Fell .

The lake was created by the Fothergill family by a dam from originally three separate lakes and is also known as the Fothergill Tarn . A boathouse stands on the eastern side of the lake.

The lake has an unnamed inflow on its north side and an unnamed outflow on its west side, into which the outflow of the Potter Tarn located to the west flows and which flows into the River Kent .
