The Gurzgraben is a 0.5 kilometer long left tributary of the Kainach in Styria .

The Gurzgraben is being built in the southern part of the municipality of Kainach near Voitsberg , in the northern part of the cadastral municipality of Kohlschwarz on the southwest slope of the Kohlschwarzkogel , southeast of the main town of Kainach near Voitsberg, east of the Gurz farm, west of the Hainzl farm and northwest of the Wurzer farm. It flows first in a flat curve to the left and then in a flat curve to the right and shortly before its confluence relatively straight to the south-east, overall to the south-west. In the north-west of the Kohlschwarz cadastral community, it flows south-south-east of the main town of Kainach near Voitsberg, south of the Gurz farm about 50 meters west of the L341 into the Kainach, which then continues straight on. The Gurzgraben does not receive any other watercourses along its course.
