Gustaf Wersäll
Erik Gustaf Wersäll (born January 14, 1887 in Stockholm , † March 24, 1973 in Uppsala ) was a Swedish modern pentathlon .
Life
Gustaf Wersäll was born in 1887 as the son of the politician Claës Wersäll and his wife Charlotta (née Lewenhaupt). He grew up with eight brothers and one sister. Another sister died shortly after she was born.
In 1912 he took part in the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm and came ninth in the modern pentathlon competition . His brother Claës-Axel also competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics. Furthermore, four more of his brothers took part in the course of the Summer Olympic Games, one brother as a functionary and three brothers as helpers.
Another brother, Ture Wersäll , had already participated in the Olympic Intermediate Games in Athens in 1906 and achieved the bronze medal in the tug of war with the Swedish team .
