At the Olympic Intermediate Games in Athens in 1906 , a tug of war competition was held. Course of the competition

The tug of war competition took place on April 30, 1906. In the preliminary round Germany beat Austria and Greece defeated Sweden. Sweden then won the battle for third place against Austria, Germany won the final against the Greeks. The German team consisted of 3 athletes, two gymnasts, two weightlifters and one wrestler.
