Max Décugis won all possible competitions in singles, doubles and mixed and thus three gold medals. In mixed at the side of his wife Marie .
The competitions took place from April 23 to 26, 1906. They were all played on clay in the Athens Lawn Tennis Club , which was also played in the first few games . a. served as the venue. A total of 27 athletes (21 men and 6 women) from six nations competed for medals.

Max Décugis won the competition with relative ease. He lost just two games in eight sets in four matches before the final, where he defeated Maurice Germot in four sets. With Germot, he also won the gold medal in the double competition. The bronze medal was awarded to Zdeněk Žemla because he took a set from Germot on the way to the final. Guus Kessler managed to get to the semi-finals without playing a match, where he lost 6-0, 6-0 against the eventual winner. So he managed to reach fourth place without a win or game win.

In five sets, Max Décugis and Maurice Germot , who had previously played in doubles, prevailed against Ioannis Ballis and Xenophon Kasdaglis . The bronze medal went to the Žemla brothers Ladislav and Zdeněk . There was no match for third place. Presumably a jury decided on the placement.
A total of twelve pairings from five countries took part, five of which withdrew their participation or did not participate for other reasons. As a result, there were only byes in the first round.

In the women's singles Esme Simiriotou won against Sophia Marinou in three sets. The field of participants was very small with six players and Marie Décugis was the only one not from Greece. Overall, the players, with the exception of Décugis, were very unknown and were not among the world's best.
A game for third place was played, where Effrosini Paspati won against Aspasia Matsa and secured bronze.
Mixed
In the mixed competition, the married couple Max and Marie Décugis , who had never played mixed together before, prevailed in two sets. Just like in the men's doubles, a jury decided on the bronze and in the mixed even the silver medal, which went to Sophia Marinou and Georgios Simiriotou . Bronze went to Aspasia Matsa and Xenophon Kasdaglis , who lost out in the final , although in both cases it is not sure why the jury decided that way.
