With the III. At the 1904 Olympic Games in St. Louis , two tennis competitions were held. These took place on the three Francis Field Dirt Courts near the Francis Field Stadium. The field of participants was almost exclusively US, the German Hugo Hardy was the only foreigner. Unlike the previous games, where women were allowed for the first time, the games took place again in 1904 without. There was no match for third place.
