Allen Tarwater West (born August 2, 1872 in Mobile , Alabama , † August 31, 1952 in Watch Hill , Rhode Island ) was an American tennis player .
At the 1904 Summer Olympics in St. Louis , Allen West and his compatriot Joseph Wear won the bronze medal in the men's tennis doubles , after defeating the later Olympic champions Alphonzo Bell and Robert LeRoy in three sets with 6: 2, 1: 6 and 2 in the semifinals : 6 were inferior. West was otherwise more of an active golfer. In 1922 he was able to win the prestigious Broadmoor Invitational in Colorado. After his career he worked as a stockbroker.
