The Tao Tennis Center (formerly Francis Field Dirt Courts ) is a tennis facility on the Washington University campus in St. Louis , Missouri .
As part of the Summer Olympic Games in 1904 took place on the system before Francis High School , the tennis competitions held. In summer 2006 the Tao Tennis Center was renovated and equipped with a new floor. This is based on the colors of the university with green and red. The facility also received new lighting, fences, windshields, nets, stands and a second tool shed.
The facility owes its current name to William KY Tao. He was involved in the renovation of the university's entire sports complex in 1985.
