Frank Wheaton

Frank Angell Wheaton (born October 15, 1876 in Putnam , Connecticut , † October 29, 1965 in Bellingham , Washington ) was an American tennis player .

biography

Wheaton was born in Connecticut but was living in Indianapolis when he traveled to St. Louis for the 1904 Summer Olympics . Here he took part in the tennis competition. In the singles he came after a bye in the first round not beyond the second round, where he was defeated by Charles Cresson . In doubles he was also defeated with Edwin Hunter in his first match.

In 1905 Wheaton moved to Bellingham, Washington, where he practiced as a doctor. He lived there until his death in 1965.
