Harold Kauffman

Harold Meredith Kauffman (born December 20, 1875 in St. Louis , Missouri , † December 9, 1936 there ) was an American tennis player .

biography

Kauffman took part in the tennis competition at the 1904 Summer Olympics in St. Louis . He only started in doubles . There he and his partner Hugh Jones won the first match against Frederick Semple and George Stadel in straight sets. They lost to Joseph Wear and Allen West in three sets in the round of 16.

Kauffman studied at Yale University and worked for the family business, Kauffman Milling Co. , until 1901. He later went to GH Walker & Co. , a banking and brokerage firm.
