George Stadel
George Henry Stadel (born September 21, 1881 in St. Louis , † November 13, 1952 in Stamford , Connecticut ) was an American tennis player .
biography
Stadel took part in the tennis competition at the 1904 Summer Olympics in St. Louis . In the individual , he was effectively last because he played the only first round game and lost it to Nathaniel Semple . In doubles he was also defeated in his opening match, with Fred Semple as a partner, the team made up of Hugh Jones and Harold Kauffman . In the following years he took part in other small tournaments, where he was always eliminated early, such as 1916 at the Middle States Championships or 1922 at the Championship of the Bahamas .
