With the III. At the 1904 Olympic Games in St. Louis , a competition in lacrosse was held. There were four teams registered, but the Brooklyn Crescents did not appear, so that only three teams competed for the tournament at Francis Field Stadium .
The Mohawk Indians of Canada , a team composed of Mohawk Indians from the Brantford , Ontario area , met the St. Louis Amateur Athletic Association on September 4, 1904 . The locals won this game 2-0 and faced the Shamrocks from Winnipeg in the second game on September 7, 1904 . In this "final" the Canadians clearly won 8: 2.
