Karl Kaltenbach (born June 15, 1882 in Berlin ; † April 22, 1950 there ) was a German athlete.

Kaltenbach took part in athletics and tug of war competitions at the Olympic Intermediate Games in Athens in 1906. While he was quickly eliminated in discus and stone throwing, he reached 17th place in modern pentathlon. Together with Wilhelm Born , Willy Dörr , Joseph Krämer , Wilhelm Ritzenhoff , Heinrich Rondi , Heinrich Schneidereit and Julius Wagner , however, he won the gold medal in the tug of war, silver went to Greece. Kaltenbach was a member of the Munich sports club Turnerschaft .
