Wilhelm Ritzenhoff

Wilhelm Ritzenhoff (born May 4, 1878 in Borbeck , † January 20, 1954 in Neuss ) was a German athlete and tug of war .

Ritzenhoff took part in athletics and tug of war competitions at the Olympic Intermediate Games in Athens in 1906 . While he was quickly eliminated in the 100-meter run, long jump from standing and stone throwing, he reached the third competition and 14th place in the ancient pentathlon. Together with Wilhelm Born , Willy Dörr , Karl Kaltenbach , Joseph Krämer , Heinrich Rondi , Heinrich Schneidereit and Julius Wagner , he won the tug of war after a final victory against the host Greeks.

The 1.77 m tall Ritzenhoff started for the MTV Marxloh-Bruckhausen .
