Gustav Bergemann (born October 3, 1948 in Bad Sulza ) is a German CDU politician . He was a member of the Thuringian state parliament from 1999 to 2014 .

Life

From 1965 to 1968 Bergemann completed an apprenticeship as a toolmaker and attended the engineering school for scientific device construction in Jena from 1968 to 1971 . There he graduated as a graduate engineer. He then worked as a research engineer at the watch factory in Ruhla until 1990 . From 1990 to 1993 he was chairman of the general works council of the watch factory.

In 1993 he became head of department in the Thuringian Ministry for Federal and European Affairs, a position he held until 1994. From 1995 to 1999 he was head of department in the Thuringian State Chancellery.

politics

In 1999 he was elected to the Thuringian state parliament. In addition to his work there, he is state chairman of the Christian Democratic Workers' Union (CDA) and deputy federal chairman of the CDA since 1995. He has been a member of the CDA federal executive committee since 1990. He is a member of the CDU state executive committee of the CDU in Thuringia and is a city councilor in Ruhla. After the state election in 2014, he retired.
