Gustav Biesenbach the Elder
Gustav Biesenbach (born May 12, 1831 in Düsseldorf ; † October 9, 1893 there ) was a German lawyer and parliamentarian.
Life
Gustav Biesenbach studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn , the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin . In 1852 he became a member of the Corps Saxonia Bonn . After graduating, he became a lawyer in Düsseldorf. He was later appointed to the judiciary and was a lawyer in Düsseldorf.
As a Catholic center politician , Biesenbach entered the Prussian House of Representatives for the first time in 1873 for the constituency of Düsseldorf 4 (city and district of Düsseldorf) . In 1877 he moved into the House of Representatives for the Düsseldorf 9 constituency (Geldern, Kempen), but was then in parliament from 1878 to 1893 for the 4 Düsseldorf constituency. In total he belonged to the House of Representatives for 6 legislative periods.
The politician Gustav Biesenbach was his son, the ministerial official and Catholic Erich Klausener his grandson.
