Gustav Biesenbach

Gustav Biesenbach (born June 23, 1862 in Düsseldorf , † October 22, 1934 in Rheinbreitbach ) was Mayor of Unkel and a member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Biesenbach was the son of Gustav Biesenbach, a member of the Prussian House of Representatives . He attended the Royal High School in Düsseldorf and then studied forest science and economics at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . After taking the forestry exam at the State Economics Faculty in Munich, he worked as a forest official in several domain administrations in Germany and Austria. From 1896 he was head of the agricultural department of the Kölnische Volkszeitung and from 1898 onwards he was head of the viticulture and winemaking department of the Neuwied Raiffeisen organization on an honorary basis.

From 1895 to 1903 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and from 1899 to 1903 of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Trier 2 ( Wittlich , Bernkastel ) and the German Center Party . He was also the mayor of Unkel.
