Uwe Hartmann (athlete)

Uwe Hartmann (born April 4, 1959 in Ludweiler ) is a German long-distance runner .

In 1988 he was fifth in the German marathon championships . His greatest success is winning the title at the German Championships in 1989, which took place on the route of the Bienwald Marathon . The following year he was third in the German championships in mountain running and fifth in the German championships in the half marathon .

In 2005 he won the Saarschleife marathon , and in 2006 he won the senior European mountain running championships in the M45 class.

Uwe Hartmann started for VfL Waldkraiburg , SV Saar 05 Saarbrücken and MTG Mannheim . In 1999 he and other runners founded the LC Saucony Saar ( running club Warndt since 2009 ) in the Ludweiler district of Völklingen . He is a trained physiotherapist and medical lifeguard.
