Gustav Hasler
Gustav Hasler (born October 26, 1877 in Bern , † July 9, 1952 in Grindelwald ) was a Swiss technician and industrialist.
At the age of 22 he took over the telephone factory founded by his father Gustav Adolf (1830–1900) and expanded it into an international telecommunications company . In 1987 Hasler Holding AG merged with Autophon Holding AG and Zellweger Telecommunications AG to form today's company Ascom .
Hasler was also an avid mountaineer and alpinist. He was the first president of the Grindelwald section of the Swiss Alpine Club , founded in 1907 , which he also supported financially in the construction of the Konkordia hut . The Haslerrippe on the Aletschhorn , a demanding high-altitude tour , is named after him.
