Gustav Stapp

Gustav Stapp (born July 23, 1926 in Uslar , † February 14, 1985 in Duisburg ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school , middle school, high school and the Abitur graduation course for soldiers, he worked in the school service. From 1946 to 1964 he was a member of the SPD and from 1950 a member of the trade union for education and science .

He was married and had three children.

MP

From July 21, 1958 to July 20, 1962, Stapp was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was directly elected in constituency 076 Dinslaken.

He was a member of the district council of the Dinslaken district from 1961 to 1964.

Public offices

From April 1961 to July 1964 he was the district administrator of the district of Dinslaken and from 1956 to 1964 mayor of Walsum .

Others

In the first half of 1964, the newspapers in the Dinslaken district were full of scandals. Numerous politicians were involved in these scandals. In this context, Stapp was due to party-destructive behavior of the SPD ruled out . He was accused of violating the guidelines for contacts with the East that were adopted by the party executive in 1960. Hans-Jürgen Pohlenz , the former member of the Bundestag, was also involved.

In the new development area in Alt-Walsum on Kaiserstraße, one of the new streets was named "Bürgermeister-Stapp-Straße".
