Gustav Wesemann (born May 1, 1879 in Einbeck , † after 1931) was a German manager in the arms industry.

Life

Gustav Wesemann, son of the Einbeck factory owner August Wesemann and Emma, ​​née Stürzkober, graduated from the Realgymnasium in Magdeburg in 1898. He then studied engineering at the Technical University of Hanover . In 1898 he became a member of the Corps Hannovera Hannover . In 1905 he graduated with the diploma exam. He then served as a one-year volunteer with the 2nd Hanover Field Artillery Regiment No. 26 in Verden (Aller) . From 1906 to 1909 he was a government construction manager at the Magdeburg Railway Directorate. In 1909 he passed the government master builder examination. In 1910 he switched to industry and was initially assistant to Heinrich Ehrhardt in Düsseldorf . In 1911 he was appointed director of the Rheinische Metallwaren- und Maschinenfabrik AG , Sömmerda department in Thuringia. During the First World War , he initially took part as an officer in the 3rd Guard Reserve Field Artillery Regiment and then became captain of the reserve in the production of war materials at Rheinmetall.

After the First World War, he initially returned to his old position in Sömmerda. In 1922 he moved to Deutsche Werken AG, rifle factory Erfurt, as director and board member . From 1924 to 1928 he worked in the Reichswehr Ministry . In 1928 he became director and full board member of Berlin-Karlsruher Industrie-Werke AG (BERKA). In the early 1930s Günther Quandt replaced him with Albert Wolff.
