Gustav von Gehrmann

Gustav Gehrmann , from 1888 von Gehrmann , (* 1823 ; † 1892 ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Gustav von Gehrmann studied at the University of Halle . In 1842 he became a member of the Corps Saxonia Halle . In 1849 he passed the court assessor exam. He became a Prussian administrative officer. Initially a garrison auditor in Poznan, he came to the Stettin government in 1856 as a government assessor , where he was promoted to the government council in 1860. In 1867 he became a military departmental councilor for Holstein, based in Kiel. In 1868 he was transferred to the Schleswig government as a senior councilor .

From 1878 to 1885 Gehrmann Landdrost was the Landdrostei Osnabrück . With the introduction of the Prussian administrative structures in the province of Hanover , in 1885 he became the first district president of the Osnabrück administrative district that emerged from the Landdrostei Osnabrück . He held the office until 1887. He then lived in Kassel until his death . Von Gehrmann was the first elected chairman of the Osnabrück Museum Association.
