Gustave Adolphe Jundt (born June 21, 1830 in Strasbourg , Alsace , † May 15, 1884 in Paris ) was a French landscape and genre painter , caricaturist , engraver and illustrator .

Gustave Jundt made his debut at the Paris Salon in 1856 and was awarded the Legion of Honor in 1880 . He is best known for his Alsatian genre scenes.

The artist rests in the Montparnasse cemetery in Paris . The grave is adorned with a bronze bust (1886) created by Auguste Bartholdi .
