Gustave Pierre Dagrant
Gustave Pierre Dagrant , also Gustave-Pierre Dagrand , (born September 15, 1839 in Bordeaux , † December 21, 1915 ibid) was a French glass painter .
Life
He attended the École des Beaux Arts in Bayonne , where he founded a glass painting workshop after graduating, which he moved to Bordeaux in 1873/74.
Its leaded glass windows are marked with different signatures: DAGRAND or DAGRANT. Carry some of his window Monogram G D .
Dagrant received numerous awards at exhibitions. Pope Leo XIII. awarded him the New Year's Eve for his work in Italy .
On October 1, 1863, he married Jeanne-Eugénier Chartier in Bordeaux, with whom he had three sons: Maurice (1870-1951), Charles (1876-1938) and Victor (1879-1925), who succeeded him as glass painter.
