Gustavo Jalkh

Gustavo Jalkh (full name: Charbel Gustavo Jalkh Röben ; born December 4, 1966 in Guayaquil ) is an Ecuadorian lawyer and politician. He was Minister of the Interior and Minister of Justice in Rafael Correa's cabinet .

Life

Jalkh studied international law at the University of Paris I and graduated with a DEA and a PhD on the legal status of the Gulf of Fonseca and the dispute between Honduras and El Salvador over it. He then received his doctorate from the Catholic University of Ecuador to the doctor of law . He then taught at his alma mater and other universities. For ten years he worked for the Projusticia organization .

From November 15, 2007 to February 12, 2009 he was Minister of Justice. He was appointed Minister of the Interior on February 11, 2009 and left office on December 17, 2010.
