We in NRW was a blog on the Internet . For months, the blog repeatedly came into the focus of the press and the public because documents and internal information from the CDU state office were published here, both in the election campaign for the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2010 and in the election of the new state chairman of the CDU NRW and Rüttgers - successor. The targeted influencing of the election was assumed here.

The name of the blog "Wir in NRW" goes back to an election slogan of the North Rhine-Westphalian SPD under Johannes Rau . An election campaign newspaper of the SPD, which in the 1980s and 1990s was distributed to households in the millions on the Sundays before the elections in NRW, also bore this name. At times, the slogan was later used by the CDU NRW under Jürgen Rüttgers .

The blog received the 2010 Otto Brenner Prize for exclusive reporting on questionable election campaign practices by Jürgen Rüttgers, which were initially not an issue for newspapers and broadcasters .

In May 2012, allegations became known that the blog operators had been financially rewarded by the red-green state government after the state elections in 2010. The PR agency Steinkuehler-com responsible for the blog project is said to have received several government contracts “as a thank you”.

In the meantime (September 2014) the blog is obviously offline.
