Gustavo León Bentancor (born May 21, 1950 in Florida ), also known by the nickname El Chaira , is a former Uruguayan football player who mainly played in midfield .

career

"Chaira" León probably began his professional career at the Defensor Sporting Club, which is based in Montevideo . From there, León moved in the summer of 1973 to the Mexican capital club Club América , where he spent two seasons, in which he completed a total of 83 missions, scored three goals and was sent off twice. In the 1973/74 season "Chaira" León won the Mexican Cup with the Americanistas .
