One of his sons, Drost Carl August II von Alvensleben from the Electorate of Hanover , created a mansion with a pleasure garden in Woltersdorf . The manor house, of which only a small remainder is left, was built in 1744 and was situated on a hill gently sloping towards the west towards the Elbe valley. The view of Magdeburg's cityscape still rests today with the imperial cathedral towering over the river and - before the destruction since 1945 - many two-towered churches. Downstream industrial plants follow the course of the Elbe, which the eye can follow up to the keep of Rogätz. A terrace garden, which stretched south along the transverse axis of the house, formed the foreground of the landscape. The small forecourt led to the large, still preserved manor. The old church, renovated at the same time as the palace was built in 1744, still has the expressive, coarse decorative furnishings of that time.

After 1800, the Alvensleben from Woltersdorf were still important personalities in public life in two generations:

However, they were unable to maintain the leased property, which had been burdened with debts since the wars of freedom, and sold it in 1881 to the then tenant Brandt.
