The Gutshof Friedrichsgrund , also called Schloss Friedrichsgrund , is an estate in the village of Friedrichsgrund , which belongs to the town of Bad Wünnenberg in the Paderborn district.

history

Friedrichsgrund Palace is the manor house of one of the frontworks of the Dalheim state domain , which was an estate of the Dalheim Monastery until the secularization of 1803 . The Vorwerke were set up by the Counts of Westphalen from the second half of the 18th century and served as a side courtyard to the Dalheim estate. The administrative seat was the main courtyard in the north-east of the former Dalheim monastery.

To the neighboring facilities of the Dalheimer Gutsanlage belonged about 1.1 kilometers to the west located, 1788 founded Vorwerk Kircheilern, whose desolation is now under protection as a cultural monument . About 750 meters to the east, the eastern Eilern Vorwerk was built between 1816 and 1822 as a further split of the Dalheim manor complex at today's Elisenhof, which is also now a deserted area under cultural monument protection. The Vorwerk Friedrichsgrund, founded in 1820 by a Dalheim domain tenant, has been preserved to this day, in contrast to the neighboring Vorwerk.

Friedrichsgrund, together with the neighboring Gut Eilern, was left in 1950 by Count Friedrich Carl von Westphalen as part of the land reform of the Deutsche Bauernsiedlung settlement company for compensation of 357,000 DM . There was a resettlement with farmers who had moved to Silesia in the 1930s and fled to West Germany as a result of the effects of the war in 1945. In 2002 the new settlement Eilern-Friedrichsgrund celebrated its 50th anniversary with the erection of a memorial stone.

In the Friedrichsgrund manor house, the Büren district set up a new one- to two-class school, and a 0.54 hectare area north of the manor house was converted into a playground and sports field for DM 10,000. This school was transformed into the Friedrichsgrund Children's and Youth Courtyard.
