Guy Cabanel (Author)
Guy Cabanel (* 1926 in Béziers , Département Hérault ) is a French surrealist writer .
Live and act
Cabanel made the acquaintance of André Breton through the Exposition Internationale du Surréalisme in January 1938 . He was immediately enthusiastic about his Écriture automatique and joined the surrealists in Paris. There he also met Robert Langarde (* 1928), who would later illustrate many of Cabanel's works.
In addition to Robert Lagarde, Cabanel also worked with Jean Benoît , Jorge Camacho , Adrien Dax , Jacques Lacomblez , Mimi Parent , Jean-Claude Silbermann , Toyen and Lucques Trigaut . Cabanel was able to publish his first texts after the Second World War . He supported u. a. Jean Schuster , who enabled him to contact the publishers on various occasions.
Guy Cabanel rejected the Algerian War and its associated doctrine and was one of the signatories of the 121st Manifesto in September 1960 .
