The Eschenbach high school is a state high school in Eschenbach in the Upper Palatinate .
history
The school was founded in 1948 as a "private secondary school". The first headmaster was Edmund Langhans. The first day of class was September 20, 1948 with 36 children in the former Ottoheim (Pressather Strasse).
In 1958 the “Private Realschule” was renamed “ Oberrealschule ”. In May 1959 she moved to the newly built school building on Jahnstrasse.
In 1960 the upper secondary school was nationalized and in 1965 it was renamed the mathematical and natural science grammar school . In the same year it was decided to build a new school building on the western edge of the city of Eschenbach in order to cope with the growing number of students. The new building was inaugurated in October 1968. The first year of Abitur at the Eschenbach grammar school in the summer of 1970 consisted of 3 women and 11 men.
In 1976 the college level was introduced. Structural extensions took place in 1977 (swimming pool), 1980 (multi-purpose hall), 1986 (extension building), 1989 (new sports facilities) and 1997 (extension of the multi-purpose hall).
