The Hágöngur are mountains east of the Flateyjardalsheiði in northern Iceland.

geography

They are located between Skjálfandi Bay and Eyjafjörður in the Suður-Þingeyjarsýsla district .

These mountains are also called Bakrangi or Galti , depending on the direction from which you look at them.

To the west below them is the abandoned Knarrareyri á Flateyjardal farm .
