The Roman Catholic Diocese of Lorena ( Latin Dioecesis Lorenensis , Portuguese Diocese de Lorena ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese based in Lorena in the state of São Paulo .
history
The diocese of Lorena was on July 31, 1937 by Pope Pius XI. Established with the Apostolic Constitution Ad christianae plebis from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Taubaté and subordinated to the Archdiocese of São Paulo as a suffragan . On April 19, 1958, the Lorena diocese was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Aparecida as a suffragan.
