Francisco do Borja Pereira do Amaral

Francisco do Borja Pereira do Amaral (born October 10, 1898 in Campinas , Brazil , † May 1, 1989 in Taubaté ) was a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Taubaté .

Life

Francisco do Borja Pereira do Amaral received on 15 August 1922, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On December 21, 1940, Pope Pius XII appointed him . to the first bishop of Lorena . The Bishop of Campinas , Francisco de Campos Barreto , donated him episcopal ordination on February 16, 1941 ; Co- consecrators were the bishop of Pouso Alegre , Octávio Augusto Chagas de Miranda , and the auxiliary bishop of Campinas, Joaquim Mamede da Silva Leite .

Pius XII. appointed him on October 3, 1944 Bishop of Taubaté. On May 5, 1976, Pope Paul VI. the resignation put forward by Pereira do Amaral.

Francisco do Borja Pereira do Amaral participated in all the sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
