Joaquim Mamede da Silva Leite (born August 18, 1876 in Campinas , Brazil , † March 22, 1947 ) was auxiliary bishop in Campinas .

Life

Joaquim Mamede da Silva Leite was established in November 1898. deacon ordained and received on 24 May 1900, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On June 7, 1916, Pope Benedict XV appointed him . the titular bishop of Sebaste in Phrygia and auxiliary bishop in Campinas. The Bishop of Campinas, João Batista Corrêa Néri , donated him episcopal ordination on August 13 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Pelotas , Francisco de Campos Barreto , and the Bishop of Pouso Alegre , Octávio Augusto Chagas de Miranda .

On January 28, 1918, he was appointed Bishop of Caratinga , but Joaquim Mamede da Silva Leite resigned before the inauguration.
