Francisco de Campos Barreto

Francisco de Campos Barreto (born March 28, 1877 in Campinas , Brazil , † August 22, 1941 ) was Bishop of Campinas .

Life

Francisco de Campos Barreto received on 22 December 1900 by the Bishop of São Paulo , Antônio Cândido Alvarenga , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On May 12, 1911, Pope Pius X appointed him the first bishop of Pelotas . The Bishop of Campinas, João Batista Corrêa Néri , donated him episcopal ordination on August 27 of the same year ; Co-consecrators Bishop of were Pouso Alegre , Antônio Augusto de Assis , and the auxiliary bishop in Sao Sebastiao do Rio de Janeiro , Sebastião da Silveira Cintra . The inauguration took place on October 22, 1911.

Pope Benedict XV appointed him Bishop of Campinas on July 30, 1920. The inauguration took place on November 14th of the same year.
