The Hälg Group , according to the market presence of Hälg Holding AG, based in St. Gallen, is a Swiss building technology company . The activities of the group consisting of eight subsidiaries (Hälg Holding AG) include the areas of engineering , building automation , heating , ventilation , air conditioning , cooling , sanitary , service and building management . The fourth-generation family company employs over 1000 people and generated sales of 305 million Swiss francs in 2018.

history

The company was founded in 1922 by Ferdinand Hälg as Ferd. Hälg central heating factory founded. After Hälg's death in 1940, it was converted into the limited partnership Hälg & Co. and at the same time management was handed over to Emil Hälg in the second generation. In 1981 the company was converted into a stock corporation as Hälg & Co. AG.

With Heinz Graf-Hälg, the third generation took over the management in 1986. Under his leadership, a holding structure was set up in 1989 and several takeovers were made in the years that followed and the subsidiary Hälg Facility Management AG was founded. From 2002 to 2019 the group operated under the umbrella brand Hälg Building Services Group . In 2005, Klima AG , headquartered in Basel, became part of the Hälg Group.

In 2008 the brothers Roger and Marcel Baumer, great-grandsons of the company founder, took over management of the company. In 2010 the building services engineering office Brunner Haustechnik AG from Wallisellen was acquired. In 2011 there was a rebranding with a new market presence. In 2012, Zahn + Co. AG , based in Kreuzlingen, was taken over as part of a successor solution. In 2014 the company Goag General Optimizing AG , based in Zurich, was taken over. GOAG specializes in the field of air hygiene in closed rooms and carries out room air analyzes. In 2017 the engineering department of Hälg & Co.AG merged with Brunner Haustechnik AG and renamed Vadea AG . Three acquisitions were also made in 2017: Hälg & Co. AG took over two companies from the St. Gallen region and fully integrated them, as part of the succession plan. Dober AG in Schlieren was also taken over in 2017 . The company, active in the heating, plumbing, bathroom remodeling and service sectors, complements residential and commercial construction in the Zurich region and will remain in the group as an independent company. As of January 2018, the company Meneo Energie SA with branches in Marin-Epagnier and La Chaux-de-Fonds was taken over. Meneo Energie SA operates in the areas of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing and service. With the acquisition, the Hälg Group is able to open up the Neuchâtel and Jurabogen markets.

In 2019, the umbrella brand was changed from the previous Hälg Building Services Group to the Hälg Group .

Jul. Meisser Haustechnik AG in Chur was taken over in 2020 and integrated into Hälg & Co. AG. The Chur site is thus expanding its range of services to include sanitary facilities.
