Fiume Veneto is a municipality in northeastern Italy in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region . It is located about 90 kilometers northwest of Trieste and about seven kilometers southeast of Pordenone . Fiume Veneto has 11,775 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) on an area of 35.8 km².
In addition to the main town Fiume Veneto, the municipality includes four other localities and hamlets (Frazioni): Bannia, Cimpello, Pescincanna and Praturlone. The neighboring municipalities are Azzano Decimo , Casarsa della Delizia , Chions , Pordenone , San Vito al Tagliamento and Zoppola .
The Fiumettopoli event in Fiume Veneto has been one of the most important events for national comic book authors since 2000.
