Mariano del Friuli (in the Furlan dialect: Mariàn ) is a north-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1477 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region . The municipality is about 12.5 kilometers west-southwest of Gorizia .
