The municipality of Maniago ( Furlanisch Manià ) is located in northeast Italy in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region at the foot of the Alps and has 11,758 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). The city is known for its knife production.

In addition to the main town of Maniago, the municipality includes four other localities and hamlets: Campagna, Dandolo, Fratta and Maniagolibero. The neighboring communities are Andreis , Arba , Fanna , Frisanco , Montereale Valcellina , San Quirino , Vajont and Vivaro .
